This Privacy Policy applies to the website of RSG Music Schools LLC d/b/a Ready Set Gig! MUSIC EDUCATION AMPLIFIED (“RSG”). At RSG, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy will help you understand the information we collect and how it is protected and used. By accessing this website, you acknowledge the terms and conditions expressed herein. We reserve the right to change this policy at our sole discretion and without notice.

The Information We Collect and How We Use It

When you visit our website, we collect information about the visit such as the domain or IP address you visited from. We may also use cookies to track your session with us (see below), which includes items such as the date and time of the visit and the pages viewed. We use this information in order to better understand how the website is being used, develop new products or services, or other functions we believe are necessary or appropriate under the laws.

We may invite you to provide personally identifiable information (PII) as well. Doing so is completely optional. This information generally includes, but is not limited to, name, e-mail address, postal address, and telephone number. We use this information to provide additional services, including:

  • To register to attend an open house or other event
  • To request a free trial lesson
  • To receive specific information from us and our programs
  • To sign up for a mailing list
  • To correspond with us
  • Similar marketing activities
  • Setup of an account on the client portal (clients only)

RSG collects personally identifiable financial information only in cases where an individual has elected to purchase a service we offer, such as enrolling in a music program. In this case, RSG only collects stores and uses the info that is reasonably required to deliver services and collect payment for those services. The information collected includes name, physical address, email, phone number, payment card information. RSG does not retain CVV/CVC information after processing a credit card transaction.

Due to the nature of the programs RSG offers, RSG does collect certain personal information about minor children. Data collected is limited to what is reasonably required for delivery of music education services to clients, and may include name, age, family member names, instrument played, educational progress, music preferences, and t-shirt size. Where personal data is collected about children under the age of 13, it is done from the parent or guardian of said children and with their consent.

RSG shares limited personal data with certain entities with whom RSG has contracted for services. RSG has a vetting process for selecting business partners to ensure partners’ data safeguarding methods meet RSG standards and applicable statutory requirements, including but not limited to: PCI-DSS, California Consumer Privacy Act AB 375, NRS 603A, and others. The entities RSG shares customer personal data with include:

  • Wellness Living, a cloud software provider RSG has contracted with for cloud-based customer relationship management software;
  • DirectConnect, a payment gateway RSG has contracted with for credit card payment processing services;
  • Intuit, a cloud software provider RSG has contracted with for accounting software;
  • Google, a web services company RSG has contracted with for back-office support, including email and file storage.

RSG does not share personal data with entities other than those listed above, and does not normally make customer personally identifiable information available to others except in extreme cases, such as in the event of a merger, sale or bankruptcy, or when required to do so by law. RSG does not collect or use protected health information.

Your Opt-Out Choices

RSG provides you the opportunity to opt out of receiving email communication from us at any time. If you would like to do so, either follow the instructions to unsubscribe in the email message you receive or send us a message at privacy@rsgmusic.com requesting to be taken off our lists.

How Is Personally Identifiable Information Safeguarded?

RSG utilizes industry standard methods and mechanisms such as firewalls, intrusion monitoring, and passwords to protect electronic information. Multiple physical security methods such as locking devices and 24-hour premise monitoring are also employed. Finally, access to PII is limited to a small number of personnel and on a need-to-know basis.

California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits our visitors who are California residents to request and obtain from us, free of charge once per year, certain information regarding its disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
