Announcing Our Summer Camps Series!
This summer, give your child a stage to be a star! Our camps aren’t just condensed versions of our standard music programs – they are a chance for young players to learn how stage lights and AV systems work, play games, and have fun musically in a supportive and awesome way! Details:
- Camps run Monday to Thursday
- Drop-off between 8am and 9am
- Campers may bring a sack lunch OR money to order food ($9 per day is suggested)
- Pickup by 3pm
- Cost is $325 per camp
- Late pickup (by 7pm) & Friday add-on day available at additional cost
- Session recordings, commemorative swag and photos also available - call for details
2019 Summer Camps
Summer camp schedule subject to enrollment minimums and may change.
RSG 2019 summer camps start the week of June 10th and run weekly thru July 25, with a break during the week of July 1 due to the Independence Day holiday.
June 10-13 | Beginner | Opening Act
Our Opening Act camp is perfect for players age 7-13! No prior experience playing an instrument is expected. Players will learn timing and basic instrument patterns while jamming to their favorite tunes!
June 17-20 | ALL | Imagine Dragons
This All Ages camp is open to players up to age 17 who LOVE Imagine Dragons!! Some prior experience with an instrument is welcome but not required.
June 24-27 | Advanced | Metallica
This camp is geared toward experienced players up to age 17 who are ready to melt some faces! The titles say it all, so buckle your seatbelts as we work on special arrangements of legendary songs by Metallica!
July 8-11 | Beginner | Opening Act
Our Opening Act camp is perfect for players age 7-13! No prior experience playing an instrument is expected. Players will learn timing and basic instrument patterns while jamming to their favorite tunes!
July 15-18 | ALL | Pop Divas
This very special All Ages camp is open to players up to age 17 who LOVE to sing! The focus is on developing our voices glee-club style to the sounds of legendary pop divas! Some prior experience with singing is welcome but not required.
July 22-25 | Advanced | Greta Van Fleet
This camp is geared toward experienced players up to age 17 who are ready to melt some faces! The titles say it all, so buckle your seatbelts as we work on special arrangements of legendary songs by Greta Van Fleet!
Workshops
Our workshops series is meant to help musicians achieve specific goals within a particular area. The workshops themselves typically meet once per week and last up 8 weeks. Some of our recent workshops include the following.
Mastering Spruce & Steel:
Building Up Your American Acoustic Guitar Play
Eight-week Workshop
$375 (Paid in advance) | $195/month if paid monthly
Drop-in Price $65/Group Session
This eight-week workshop is meant to help players develop their musical craft in the classic American style of acoustic guitar play that made artists like Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Bonnie Raitt, and Vance Joy famous. Participants receive a 60-minute group session once per week, covering the fundamentals of playing America’s legendary instrument. In addition, participants may schedule up to two (2) 45-minute 1-on-1 private lessons with a guitar instructor anytime during the Workshop, for in-depth work on topics as required. In the first half of the Workshop, we focus on instrument fundamentals, including mastery of common chord formations, transitions, turnarounds, and strumming techniques. The second half of the Workshop builds on that foundation by adding techniques to give vibrancy to your play – finger picking, licks, acoustic percussion, and vocal accompaniment. Players age 21+ welcome, class size limited to 6. Players supply their own instruments. An end-of-session performance is optional.

Clinics
Our Clinics series provide additional support for all our other programs and typically focus on tips and techniques for a single instrument. Clinics are led by noted professionals, such as local or touring musicians. Recent events include the following.
Drum Clinic
Winter Drum Clinic featuring Adam Fisher of Code Red Riot
Canopus/Evans/Pro-mark artist ADAM FISHER of Code Red Riot, who will be hosting our very first (approx 1 hr duration) DRUM CLINIC! This clinic is recommended for all skill levels & is all ages! Cost: $10. Ear protection highly recommended and available at additional cost.
